Rescued from a dying Philips N1700 video cassette - here is the legendary Top Of The Pops performance of 'Machadaynu' from 1979.
A long forgotten performance, due to the fact that it was broadcast the day after the 3-month long ITV technicians strike finally ended, and almost the entire viewing nation tuned into the return of Coronation Street and 3-2-1, instead of BBC1 that evening.
As if this wasn't enough, the song dropped out of the charts the very next week, amid allegations of hyping, letting Gary Numan claim the No.1 spot and the birth of futurist music. However, this long lost clip tells the real story.
